A memorable journey I made

When I was 11 years old I went to Thailand with my best friend . We were by plane to get there. I remember this date. It was 15th August. After spent 2 hours plane from our hometown ,then we have arrived at Bangkok where the capital of Thailan. Why we decided went to Thailand, not USA. not UK. Because I didn't have enough time for joueney at that time, but we are really love Thailand food. It was unforgettable journey for me, Because It was my first journey to the abroad and there are only me and my friend. no parents ,no sister. It's so excited. I like this feelling.

I'm going to tell you about one unforgettable journey.It was my birthday and I was travelling with my mother by car.We were listening to a radio programme and suddenly I heard my friends on the phone-in.They wanted to wish me '' Happy Birthday '' on a programme because I really liked it,it was so memorable.They made me smile and I was very happy.

Let me tell about my unforgettable journey.It was in June 2006.I was going with my friends from Grozny to Cabardino-Balkariya by bus to relax.I remember it because during my journey I saw very amazing landscapes: green forests,fast rivers,wonderful waterfalles ,beautiful animals and high mountains.

An unforgettable journey

I went to Qingdao with my best friend in 1th-Oct-2007, for our holiday. We had to change diffrent transport for our journey. We by train went to Dalian, transform ferry went to Yantai and transform bus arrived Qingdao. In fact, it's our first time in same free time, so we want choose diffrent way for holiday. because we have work of own, we can in same time for holiday is very difficult, we hope the journey is realy unforgettable, it's very interesting in holiday.

Abah in Saudi Arabia

I'm going to tell you about my journey. I went to Abha In the south of Sauadi Arabia.

I went there with about 20 friends . We went by bus. The journey took five hours . We enjoyed there. And the weather was wonderful. I was exciting .It was very cold but my city is very hot so we went there cheange pleaces.

My favourite star is Zac Efron for his movies is called HIGH SCHOOL MUSIC. The movie is very interesting to tennegers that describe High School Musical is a story about two high school juniors from rival cliques – Troy Bolton (Zac Efron), captain of the basketball team, and Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens), a beautiful and shy transfer student who excels in math and science.Together, they try out for the lead parts in their high school musical, and as a result, divide the school. My favorite celebrity ...

My favorite celebrity is Grafa.He's name is Vladimir Ampov.His nikename is Grafaand he is a bulgarian pop star.He is son of Kiril Ampov.His father and mother also are singers.The first time when he sang was when he was only 10 years old with his parents.Grafa is very famous in my country and he has a wonderful songs.Grafa wrote a book about himself,a biography.I admired him because he is one of the Bulgarian singer who write by himself the text and the music about his songs.Vladimir is very friendly and he help the new idols in Bulgaria.Now he has a family.He get married on the 9 november 2008 and this year he has a son.Now he work on a new project and he dances in a reality show.

My favourite film

"Gladiator" is my favourite film.It is about difficult life of gladiators.Gladiators - they are professional fighters,who were in Ancient Rome.

So,film shows an occasions,which were in Ancient Rome.The actions of the film unravel in 180 year.The first scene of the film is preparation before the main battle between legions of Mark Avreliy and Germans fighters.The soldiers of Rome won that battle and the most cause of the success was a professionalism of Maximus.

The next scenes shows practice around the Rome's throne.Commod killed his father and began govern Rome.Maximus release serve killer.Commod gave the order to kill Maximus,but Maximus can protect himself.

After these ocassions Maximus come back to his family,but found his wife and son killed.After this occasion he lost his consciousness.A slave-trader,who thought that Maximus was a bondservant,sold him in some province.After these ocassions began the life of Gladiator.

He bravely fought and won every time.

Commodus challenges Maximus to a duel in front of a full audience in the Colosseum. Acknowledging that Maximus's skill exceeds his own, Commodus stabs Maximus with a stiletto, puncturing his lung, and has the wound concealed. In the arena, the two exchange blows before Maximus rips the sword from Commodus's hands. Maximus drops his own sword, but Commodus pulls a hidden stiletto and renews his attack. Maximus then kills Commodus with his own stiletto, plunging it into his neck. As Commodus collapses in the now-silent Colosseum, a dying Maximus begins seeing his wife and son in the afterlife. He reaches for them, but is pulled back to reality by Quintus, who asks for instructions. Maximus orders the release of Proximo's gladiators and the reinstatement of Senator Gracchus, instructing him to return Rome to a Senate-based government. Maximus then dies and wanders into the afterlife to his family. Senator Gracchus, Quintus, and Proximo's gladiators carry his body out of the Colosseum, leaving Commodus behind. That night, Juba returns to an empty Colosseum, and speaks of seeing Maximus in the afterlife.

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

I'm going to write someone who help a lot of conutry in the world. He is King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz. He is kingdom of Saudi Arabia. he was born in 1924 in capital city of Saudi Arabia. he is intelligent, a generous man ,a good speaker , strong and a fair leader.in fact, he likes to help any one in the world,so for this reason i look up to him. in addition, he likes to visit some city in the world.

I have come to london by His help. fortunately, he helped me with my visa in England and he's given me salary since 2008. I have a scholarship in this college.Actually, Any one want something like house, money,scholarship...

My favorite film

My favourite film is Titanic. It's kind of romantic.I realy love this film.It' so beautiful. Titanic Titanic is a love story about Jack and Rose.They were happy to be with each other on the ship celled Titanic.On the night of April 15 1912,the Titanic had a serious accident on the way to America,but unluck the ship hit the iceberg.Jack and Rose fell into there sea with many other people.They were very nervous and frightened because they were afraid of losing each other.In the end,there were not enough lifeboats for everybody, 1,500 lives were lost. Rose was saved, but Jack died.Rose felt very sad.She was so lonely.

The North West Passage Exhibiting

Last Monday, I went to the National Maritime Museum for the North West Passage Exhibition. I saw a lot of informations about the North West Passasge.
The North West Passage is a sea route through the Arctic Ocean, around Canada and North America, which links the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean. In the history, people started explore it in the end of the 15th century, many explorer want to find the passage hoping to increase trade between Asia and Europe, but they were failed. For over 300 years explorers searched for a passage though the Arctic, hoping to shorten the time and cost of sailing to and from markets such as China. By the 19th century, explorers had found their way - North West Passage.
And I also saw many collections. So I'm interested in Arctic Clothing,GPS,Woman's winter outfit and beavers, the beavers is very lovely but, there are many people hunt it for trapped. Theri fur was widly used in European clothing manufacture, especially hat-making.

National Maritime Museum

The National Maritime Museum (NMM) in Greenwich, England is the leading maritime museum of the United Kingdom and may be the largest museum of its kind in the world. The historic buildings forming part of the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site, it also incorporates the Royal Observatory, Greenwich, and 17th-century Queen's House. The museum is a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.

My last Monday.The Northwest Passage Exhibition.

Last Monday I went to National Maritime Museum.It is very exciting place.






There I saw things which belonged to the sailors who tried to find the shortest way through Arctic sea in 19 and 20th centuries.There were swords,clothes,clocks,maps etc..There was the room,which imitate the noise of the Arctic sea.






The Northwesr Passage connect the North Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.The Passage was important because it was shortest way,which connect other countries.

The first person who successfully navigated the Northwest Passage was Roald Amundsen(1872-1928).

His journey took three years to complete the navigation.

People started to explore the Arctic sea at the end of 15 century.Their journeys were dangerous and hazardous but very interesting.I think they were very brave people,who put their lives at risk.

Exhibition in the National Maritime Museum

We went to the National Maritime Museum and we saw the Exhibition about The North-West Passage.It was interesting.

The North-West Passage connected the Atlantic Ocean with the Arctic Ocean.The location of the passage is near Canada and Greenland.

The man who discovered the route was Roald Amundsen in 1903–1906.

Greenwich trip

I've been in Greenwich since 6th Oct 2009 with my ELPP class. I visited the University of Greenwich. The Greenwich University is located in south-east of London, close to the Thames River. There are large areas of green space and many medieval buildings. I've seen two beautiful buildings in the University, They are Painted Hall and Chapel, The Painted Hall is designed by Charis Topher in 1696-1704 and painted by James Thornhill in 1708-1727. There are too many large and beautiful painting. I like the design and painting, I enjoy stay in here.





We had been walkking along the Greenwich High Road and Greenwich Street, Along the road I saw the Picturehouse, St Alfege Church, Italy restaurants, Chinese restaurants, many pubs, many shops and so on.


The Greenwich meridian line is at the center of Greenwich Park.
The Meridian Line is an imaginary line which runs from the North Pole to the South Pole. By international convention it runs through "the primary transit" instrument (main telescope) at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich.


Greenwich Market,I love this place,I like shopping,There is also a good range of unusual shops to find something different to buy. so I like every shop, supermarket, second-hand market, shopping mall. I should tell you the food for sale around there is tasty, also there are many restaurants, I like Italy restaurants and Chinese restaurants. And I like cooking too, I'm interested in a variety of delicious, I don’t like fast food.

My trip to greenwich

I have been in Greenwich for 3weeks. I think it is a good place. In Greenwich have a lot of restaurants. so I don't about eat .In the afternoon we usually went to the Chinese restaurant to eat lunch with my friend ,of course !In my hometown Chinese food is more delicious than greenwich,In contrast I think here is ok.because they are not expensive.

And In greenwich I can found a lot of friend from different country.they are so friendly and interesting.I love them.The weather usually is terrible.I don't like it!. In Greenwich have many of famous buildings,for example Greenwich Observatory,painted hall and chapel.

greenwich park is really beautiful and big. I sometimes went to the greenwich park with my friend to play football. it's so cool.

I am going to write about a trip with classmates (Bellerbys college). We went to Greenwich on 6th October. The guide was Anna. We enjoyed with her and the trip. We went to the Chapel . It close to Cutty sark station.

First, divided into groups. my groups was me and Petr.We took some pictures. After that, Anna gave each group greenwich exam. Each groups were separated. I and petr went to greenwich market. it was interesting about some clothes and some restaurant. we bought orange juice and some sweet. But my friend was wanted to go to bank. We went there. Anyway, we practice together with Anna.

Greenwich trip

Last Tuesday I had a trip to Greenwich.Greenwich is one of London's most popular places to visit,and most of the attractions are free.

So I visited the Painted Hall,which was decorated by James Thornhill and he spent twenty years to complete the decoration! It is a very beautiful hall. It is 15 metres high!!!

After I saw the St Alfege Church.The current church was designed in 1718 by Nicholas Hawksmoor and was included in Queen Anne's "fifty churches."

St. Alfege's is the historical landmark in London's Greenwich where Vikings killed St. Alfege, the Archbishop of Canterbury, in 1012.

After I visited the foot tunnel.The Greenwich Foot Tunnel runs under the River Thames between Cutty Sark Gardens and Island Gardens, on the Isle of Dogs.

The next place is Greenwich Market.Greenwich Market is a covered market in Greenwich,which specialises in antiques, arts and crafts.The main commodity in Greenwich Market is clothes,bags,belts and other things.

You will find the Meridian Line at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich Park.

The Prime Meridian runs through Greenwich, England and is at 0° longitude.
From Pole to Pole, the Prime Meridian covers a distance of 20,000 km.
In the Northern Hemisphere, the Prime Meridian passes through the UK, France and Spain in Europe and Algeria, Mali, Burkina, Faso, Tongo and Ghana in Africa.
The only landmass crossed by the Meridian in the Southern Hemisphere is Antarctica.

Greenwich Park

Greenwich Park is a former hunting park in Greenwich and one of the largest single green spaces in south east London. One of the Royal Parks of London, and the first to be enclosed (in 1433), it covers 74 hectares (180 acres),and is part of the Greenwich World Heritage Site. It commands fine views over the River Thames, Isle of Dogs and the City of London. The park is open from 06:00 for pedestrians (and 07:00 for traffic) all year round and closes at dusk.

On Tuesday my class and I went to Greenwich.We saw The Painted Hall that was designed by Christopher Wren (1696-1704) and was painted by John Thornhill (1708-1727) . The building is 15 m high.It's very beautiful and very old.

The Greenwich foot tunnel is a pedestrian tunnel crossing the River Thames in East London.It's between Greenwich and Island Gardens.

The Church in Greenwich is called St. Alfege.It's very beautiful outside.

The weather here is very bad.It's usually dark. Only the first week it's good and sunny.I don't like it because in my country the weather is usually the same in the different seasons.

I really like Mexican food and I went to the Mexican restaurant ''Desperados''.The food was very good and I liked it very much.I've been there with my mother and I went again.
